Learn about making good decisions and how sometimes we need a "Do Over." In this STEM Lesson, students learn about the importance of Responsible Decision-Making by building a replacement pig. for Edwurd's mother.
Students discover how to create a plan and make better decisions through a mindful moments strategy, activity, and writing prompt. We included some "Do Over" Cards so students can think through how they can have a growth mindset and correct a mistake.
CASEL Framework: Responsible Decision-Making
This activity is a part of a series of STEM resources designed to follow the CASEL Framework for social emotional learning.
The abilities to make caring and constructive choices about personal behavior and social interactions across diverse situations.
This includes the capacities to consider ethical standards and safety concerns, and to evaluate the benefits and consequences of various actions for personal, social, and collective well-being.
