Connect to a Read Aloud: What to Do with a Box by Jane Yolen

This STEM Project is a companion activity to What to do with a Box by Jane Yolen. The book explores some of the unlimited ideas that can be created using cardboard.

The Engineering Design Process:

In this back to school STEM activity, students follow the six step Engineering Design Process: Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Experiment, Improve. Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection on what worked and what didn't.
