Fishing for Math Fact Fluency STEM Challenge Math Facts

Integrate STEM in your classroom with this super fun Fishing STEM Activity and Math Fact Fluency Fishing Game!

Keep students engaged during summer school and help get them ready for the next grade! Engage students in a fun and creative way with this Math Fact Fluency STEM challenge! This activity would work great for Math Test Prep or Math Fact Summer Review.

Students build a fishing pole to use in a Math Fact Fluency Fishing Game. They must use money to budget how much of each item to purchase before designing and building their game. (We included an easier and more difficult money/budgeting worksheet).

This activity helps students develop critical thinking and engineering skills. Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection on what worked and what didn't.

This activity also increases math fact fluency in a fun and engaging way. There are "Math Fact Fish" for Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division.

Aligns with NGSS(Next Gen Science Standards) and Common Core.
