Teach about Magnetism with this NGSS Aligned Third Grade STEM Activity!

In the story Magnets Push, Magnets Pull, the characters learn about magnetism. Magnets have two poles. The north pole of one magnet attracts the south pole of another magnet, while the north pole of one magnet repels the north pole of another magnet.

In this STEM Challenge, students create a maze to get the car cutout from start to finish without touching the car with your magnet. As a bonus, students can also have a magnet car race as well.

This Magnet Investigation is the perfect book companion to Magnets Push, Magnets Pull by David A. Adler.

This STEM Challenge aligns to NGSS Standards for 3rd Grade NGSS Physical Science 3-PS2-4 but can be used in 2nd-4th grade.
