Design your own treehouse and room with this NO PREP STEM challenge!
This read aloud STEM activity is designed to support STEM teachers, elementary classroom teachers, homeschooling parents, and after-school programs.
This engineering STEM challenge is the perfect way to teach about area and perimeter. Students use a floor plan that can be measured easily, and an area and perimeter worksheet is included.
Students follow the engineering design process to design their own room and treehouse. After they have completed their room, there is a writing extension for students to write about their design.
It's a great companion to I Wanna New Room, by Karen Kaufman.
