Do your students have what it takes to join the Groundhog Weather School?
In this Groundhog Day science activity, students learn the basics of weather, create their own rain gauge (if you don't have one), and record weather data over a set period of time. They write a letter with their results to send back to the Groundhog Weather School.
The Scientific Method:
Students follow the six step scientific method (Purpose, Research, Hypothesis, Experiment, Analysis, Conclusion) to learn about weather and record data. You can use this activity to record data over one week or up to six weeks.
